The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs provides veterans assistance through its Higher Education Veterans Program, which features a one-stop website that served 17,000 students located in Minnesota and overseas last year. The website, http://www.MyMilitaryEducation.org, gives veterans and active-duty servicemembers the opportunity to chat live with representatives from the program. Program coordinators also assist active-duty servicemembers who are able to continue their studies while deployed, and provide unparalleled access to everything from the latest information on education benefits, to military scholarship deadlines and updates on the new GI Bill. For more information, contact your local coordinator through http://www.MyMilitaryEducation.org or call 1-800-456-8519.
