Women Veterans Committee Appointments
Week of January 05, 2009
Four new members have been appointed to the Advisory Committee on Women Veterans, a panel that advises the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) on issues and programs that affect women veterans. Members of this committee work to improve outreach, ensure access to VA benefits, and recommend ways the VA can better meet the needs of women veterans. VA has women veterans' program managers at VA medical centers and women veterans' coordinators at VA regional offices to assist women veterans with health and benefits issues.
