College Program Begins in Kentucky

Veterans Upward Bound, a federally funded grant program aimed at preparing veterans for postsecondary education, is slated to begin its classes Jan. 22, 2008 at Western Kentucky University. The program prepares veterans in several different areas including academic classes in language arts, mathematics, science, foreign languages and word processing. It also assists veterans with career advisement, applying for financial aid, looking for funding to attend school, preparatory tests such as the ACT and SAT, and the overall admissions process.
