American Legion Fund Assists Hurricane Victims
Week of October 13, 2008
The National Emergency Fund has awarded more than $6.5 million in grants since it was created in 1989 after Hurricane Hugo and an earthquake in San Francisco. Members of The American Legion and the Sons of the American Legion can receive up to $1,500. American Legion posts that have been damaged by the hurricane can receive a grant up to $5,000.
