The American Legion reports that the Department of Defense asked posts of The American Legion to consider coordinating a "Freedom Walk" in their communities to commemorate the 7th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on our nation on or near Sept.11th. Legionnaires are invited to be part of Freedom Walks in participating cities or towns. Each post that coordinates a Freedom Walk can be identified on the America Supports You -- Freedom Walk website where posts can download a four-page planning guide.
