Company Profile

Xerox is passionate about hiring veterans. Because Xerox recognizes and appreciates the sacrifices veterans have made and understands the value they bring to the company, it has a focused program to provide employment opportunities for veterans. Xerox hired 1,650 veterans in 2013. With a pledge to hire 7,500 veterans in the next five years, it has various programs in place to support its veteran hiring efforts.

"Heroes@Home" is Xerox's newest offering for veterans, giving them opportunities to work from the comfort of their own home. Its continued participation in monthly virtual career fairs gives transitioning service members direct contact with Xerox recruiters from anywhere in the world.

Since the invention of Xerography 75 years ago, the people of Xerox have helped businesses simplify the way work gets done. Today, they are the global leader in business process and document management, helping organizations of any size be more efficient so they can focus on their real business. Headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut, more than 140,000 Xerox employees serve clients in 160 countries, providing business services, printing equipment and software for commercial and government organizations.

Military Recruiting Programs

As a world leader in business process outsourcing (BPO), Xerox has a wide range of job opportunities under different lines of business that serve a broad variety of industries. Many of its clients are in the public sector, both state and local government as well as federal.

Xerox actively seeks job applicants who are transitioning military, retired military personnel and veterans with disabilities, as well as military spouses and family members for job opportunities at Xerox. They are proud partners with the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), White House Joining Forces Initiative, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and "Hiring Our Heroes" career fairs, along with other veteran recruiting programs.

Through its Heroes@Home program, Xerox hires qualified veterans and military spouses for at-home employment opportunities. This program was developed leveraging our 30 years of experience.

In the past year, Xerox has had job placements for customer-care agents, image processors, data analysts, help-desk specialists, systems developers, leadership roles and many other positions. In addition to its recruiting efforts, Xerox also helps transitioning vets by offering tips on resumes, interviewing and job search techniques. Xerox also assists in identifying potential job opportunities at its company that match your skill set and military experience. Keep in mind that not all of Xerox's positions are eligible to be worked from home. Also, in some cases, geographic restrictions may apply.

Xerox is grateful for the service of its employees deployed with the U.S. military. It recognizes their sacrifices and those of their families, and encourages their colleagues to actively support appreciation programs such as the semi-annual care packages to employees on military leave.

Xerox's additional military appreciation initiatives include:

  • a pen-pal program with a service member
  • writing letters of thanks to military service members
  • scholarships for former military servicemen and women
  • collecting supplies for care packages
  • family assistance as needed
