TUI University, a leader in online education, today announced that it will offer a discount to the spouses of military personnel to complement the United States Department of Defense's Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) initiative. In May, MyCAA will be enacted, providing $6000 in financial aid for the education and training of eligible military spouses. The financial assistance will help pay for expenses such as post-secondary education and training, tuition, licensing, and credentialing fees.

"We fully support the DOD's decision to provide financial aid to military spouses, as they are the backbone of our troops," said President and CEO of TUI University, Dr. Yoram Neumann. "We want to make it as easy as possible for these spouses to take classes, which is why we decided to provide them an extra discount."

Legal spouses of military service members with a minimum of one year remaining on Active Duty are eligible for the Career Advancement Account Program (MyCAA), which provides up to $6,000 of financial assistance to eligible spouses. More information is available at https://aiportal.acc.af.mil/mycaa/. Spouses who take advantage of the $6,000 MyCAA tuition assistance by taking courses through TUI University (the equivalent of six courses) are given two additional free courses from TUI.

Military spouses and dependents not using MyCAA tuition are still able to receive a tuition discount rate of 15% for undergraduate courses and 27.5% for graduate courses. While the MyCAA does not provide aid to the spouses of Coast Guard, TUI has extended the same two free courses for Coast Guard spouses that have taken six courses with the school.

"Going back to school is challenging for the average person, and especially so for military spouses," said Neumann. "TUI is an affordable flexible way for military personnel and their spouses to obtain degrees with real world applicability."

TUI courses are the true cost of a student's education as TUI does not have fees for application/registration, no fees are required for credit transfer assessment and degree plans, and no graduation fees are applied. TUI provides all course materials with the cost of tuition including software. TUI requires no purchase of books as all students are granted free access to TUI's online library.
