using well-rounded applicants with high predictors rather than so many low performers who can throw a ball. What does it matter if we just play Army and Air Force and more local schools, and can get them to do the same? If we did that, we could encourage athleticism without perverting the mission to train officers. Because that's what our unjustifiable focus on football has done.
