ABCTE's program is ideal for military personnel and spouses who want to change careers and teach. 

ABCTE certification is affordable and flexible.  You can prepare for certification on your own time and at your own pace from any location in the world.  Candidates for ABCTE certification must hold a bachelor's degree, demonstrate mastery on examinations of subject area and professional teaching knowledge and pass a background check. No additional college coursework or student teaching is required. ABCTE has issued more than 1800 certifications nationwide and is currently accepted as a route to teacher certification in 9 states.

Currently, ABCTE certification is available in elementary education, English, mathematics, general science, biology, special education, chemistry, physics, U.S. history and world history. The basic program fee is $975.
