JUNEAU, Alaska - Ever since the earthquake devastated Haiti, people from all over have been trying to help with the relief in Haiti. January 23rd, 2010 was no different when Petty Officer 1st Class Herman Green put together an event uniting the Coast Guard and the community of Sitka in a fund raising run that would ultimately raise over $7,000 to be donated to the Red Cross.
"I was talking with my friend shortly after the earthquake and felt there was something I had to do," said Green. "That's when I came up with the idea to put this run together."
