Coast Guard Rescues 1 near Cape May

CAPE MAY, N.J. - The Coast Guard rescued a man after the 8-foot boat he was aboard sank near the North Wildwood Bridge.

The Coast Guard received a call from a member of Sea Tow reporting they received a call from a man stating his boat sank and he needed assistance.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May arrived on scene and rescued the man who was found clinging to a day board.

The boat crew transferred the man to emergency medical personnel awaiting nearby on shore.
