CG Recovers Body of Dead Fisherman

BOSTON - The Coast Guard recovered the body of one fisherman and continues its search for a second near Gloucester, Mass., after receiving reports that a fire alarm on board the pair's fishing vessel had been activated.

The two men left Gloucester aboard their 54-foot stern trawler Patriot. The Patriot's co-owner contacted Coast Guard Station Gloucester to report the vessel's fire alarms had been activated.

The Coast Guard also issued a marine information broadcast requesting assistance with the search from mariners in the area.

Seas are 4-6 feet with winds of 20-25 knots. The water temperature is 42 degrees.
