You're Invited: TAPS Hosts Film Screening in DC, Jan. 9th

A new film exploring service and sacrifice in the military will get a special screening in Washington, DC, sponsored by TAPS, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. The critically-acclaimed film, "Grace is Gone" stars John Cusack as a father who grapples with telling his daughters their mother has been killed in Iraq. The screening will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2008, at the National Press Club with a reception at 6pm and the film at 7pm. Writer/Director James Strouse will be there; he consulted with TAPS while making the movie. The film has received two Golden Globe nominations and was recognized with two awards at the Sundance Film Festival. Tickets are free and the event is sponsored by TAPS, the national organization offering compassionate care and grief resources to the families of America's fallen military heroes.
