The Veteran Hiring Fair in Detroit, June 26-28, will be a "hiring event." Soldiers and veterans who attend the Veterans Affairs-sponsored event will be able to get interviewed and perhaps, get hired. Soldiers do not need to actually go to Detroit to participate. There are five locations throughout the Army where Soldiers can interview with participating employers via video teleconferencing: Fort Drum, N.Y.; Fort Knox, Ky.; Rock Island Arsenal, Ill.; Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; and Fort Riley, Kan. There will be 100 career coaches available at the event to work with veterans on their resumes and career choices.
