TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) recently implemented several new policies to streamline the claims payment process in the Philippine Islands. A major change addresses the claims process for new providers in the Philippines by giving providers more time (90 days) to provide necessary credentialing information and documentation for certification before their claims are denied. TMA is also establishing a TRICARE satellite office in the Philippines to assist beneficiaries and providers. The reimbursement rates, also known as CHAMPUS Maximum Allowable Charges (CMAC), and inpatient per diem rates are available on the TRICARE website.
