Active-duty family members (ADFMs) who are enrolled in TRICARE Prime in the U.S. or overseas may now contact the TRICARE global remote overseas (TGRO) alarm center to obtain emergency care assistance when traveling overseas. In the past, only ADFMs enrolled in TGRO were authorized to use the TGRO Alarm Centers. The change only applies to emergency care and emergency evacuation overseas. Urgent care is not covered. In an emergency, ADFMs enrolled in Prime should go to the nearest emergency care facility or contact the TGRO alarm center to seek immediate emergency assistance. ADFMs should not leave the emergency care facility until they contact the TGRO alarm center.
