Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) was designed to help friends and families who have lost loved ones serving in the armed forces. TAPS was founded in 1992 in Anchorage, Alaska, and has been helping friends and families cope for more than 14 years. The program is now helping 10,000 friends and family reconnect and share support nationwide. The support program is sponsored by TRICARE, the military medical provider, and accepts donations to keep the program running. For more information, visit the TAPS website.
