The Fort Bragg Tax Center is offering help with preparing and filing returns. The center provides free tax preparation, electronic filing and tax form distribution for federal and state returns for active-duty troops, family members and military retirees. Assistance is provided on a walk-in basis. People are advised to bring their W-2 and other tax forms and a military, dependent or retiree identification card. If filing for another person or as a married person without a spouse present, power of attorney documents must be provided. The center is open 9 to 9 Monday-Friday and 9 to 5 Saturdays. The center is closed Sundays and federal holidays.
