Suicide Prevention Training Offered

Navy chaplains across the Europe, Africa, and the Southwest Asia region now offer a special suicide prevention program to help address the concerns Navy and Marine Corps leadership have regarding one of their top priorities -- suicide prevention. Along with the Navy's Life Skills/Health promotions mandatory annual suicide prevention training, region chaplains provide servicemembers and their dependents with the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) program, which teaches people the skills to competently and confidently intervene when someone at risk for suicide.
