Officials have expanded the Military Spouse Career Advancement Account pilot program to meet the needs of a wider range of job seekers. The original plan targeted military spouses of active-duty members in grades E-1 through E-5 and O-1 through O-3. Now spouses of servicemembers in all pay grades can receive job training assistance. CAA can be used to pay up to $3,000 in tuition and fees for one year, and may be renewed for an additional year, for a total two-year amount of up to $6,000 per spouse. The program enables participants to earn a degree or credential in high-demand, portable fields at 18 installations located in 8 states.
