The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) Quick Assist Loan (QAL) of up to $300 will now be available at every NMCRS full service office worldwide as of Jan. 23, 2008 - the organization's 104th birthday. To be eligible for a QAL, individuals must be an active-duty Sailor or Marine, have repaid any previous loans contracted by NMCRS and not received a financial assistance grant from the NMCRS in the past 12 months. Servicemembers need to bring a copy of their most recent Leave and Earnings Statement and active-duty ID card to their local NMCRS office to apply for a QAL.
