The Pennies for Pearl Harbor fund-raising campaign received a check recently for more than $2 million for the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund. Nicholas Inman, a resident of Kona, Hawaii, raised the money over several months with the help of local businesses and schools starting in April 2008 for the benefit of Ross Pringle, a Pearl Harbor survivor who lived in the community. The mission of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Fund is to build a new Pearl Harbor Memorial Museum and Visitor Center with an expanded state-of-the-art museum, education and research center.
