The Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) presents "A Capitol Fourth, America's Independence Day Celebration," live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D. C. Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 8 p.m., Eastern Time. This year's 90-minute concert features a star-studded cast with patriotic classics, contemporary favorites, dramatic readings and a crowd pleasing finale of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" with fireworks. The concert will also be broadcast on National Public Radio (NPR) and on the American Forces Radio and Television Network to American troops around the world.
