The Grand Ole Opry, along with the United States Postal Service and the Defense Department's America Supports You program, unveiled their World's Largest Care Package project as part of the Opry's 82nd birthday activities. About 1,000 individual packages will be filled with letters written by Opry fans who visit the Opry House throughout October 2007, and other gift items. The items will be packaged by Tennessee Marine Family, whose founder is the mother of a Marine. The packages will be shipped by Nov. 11 so troops serving overseas will receive them by Thanksgiving. For more information about Tennessee Marine Family, visit the organization's website.
