The Surface Navy Association's is accepting applications for the "Old Tar" Award. This award recognizes the active duty enlisted surface warfare specialist (ESWS) with the earliest date of qualification as an ESWS before the closing date. Nominations are currently being accepted only if the date of ESWS qualification is earlier than Nov.23, 1983. All nominations should be sent to the Surface Navy Association, 2550 Huntington Avenue, Suite 202, Alexandria, Va. 22303 no later than Sept. 30, 2008.
