The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) recently kicked off its annual active duty fund drive in Delaware, Northern Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia. This year's theme is "Stand up for your fellow Sailors and Marines." The drive, designed to raise funds necessary to financially assist Navy and Marine Corps personnel and NMCRS programs, is scheduled to run for six weeks until April 6. The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society provides financial assistance to Sailors and Marines through a variety of life challenges from simple car repairs to funeral support, emergency travel leave, household shortcomings and realignments.
