Inflexxion Inc., a leader in online, interactive health solutions, is working with the DoD to create an online, interactive, relationship-building course specifically for military couples experiencing deployment. The website "Our Strength in Families" (OSiF) will address important issues such as preparing families for key challenges during deployment, separation, and reunion. The online program will focus on enhancing communication among military personnel and their families as well as developing coping skills for negative feelings that may arise during deployment.
The OSiF online program is currently nearing completion. Before releasing the full program, Inflexxion will be seeking participants who live in the Boston, Massachusetts area to view the website. Researchers at Inflexxion are looking for current or former military personnel who served in Iraq or Afghanistan as well as their spouses or significant others to assist with a research project. Interested persons will be invited to volunteer to review a website for families facing deployment and then provide information to the research team about the attractiveness and quality of the website. Participants may be eligible for compensation for participation. This study is sponsored by a grant awarded to Inflexxion Inc. by the Department of Defense (DoD). Contact Marlie Constant at (800) 848-3895 x279 or OSiFstudy@inflexxion.com for more information.
