The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) has announced its new "Creating Futures" program, which is designed to help veterans and others gain new job skills and opportunities through training. Forty-seven veterans and active-duty servicemembers have completed or are enrolled in the program, which is currently based in Jacksonville, Fla. and also is available online where it is being used by some active-duty military members stationed in Germany in advance of being discharged. CompTIA hopes to expand the program to other cities and train 200 or more transitioning military members each year. For more information, visit the Creating Futures website.
