New Official Language Proficiency Test

The Department of Defense has made the Defense Language Proficiency Test 5 the official "test of record" for 14 languages effective Jan. 1. The affected languages are: Albanian, Chinese Mandarin, Dari, Greek, Hindi, Iraqi, Korean, Modern Standard Arabic, Norwegian, Pashto, Persian Farsi (lower range only), Russian, Spanish, and Urdu.
