Virginia Senator Jim Webb recently introduced in the U.S. Senate the Military and Veterans Educational Reform Act of 2012 (S. 2179). Senator Webb says the new legislation is needed to ensure that the education benefit isn't weakened by veterans using it at some for-profit schools that do not always meet the same educational standards as traditional institutions.
