Along the causeway to Utah Beach near Sainte Marie Du Mont, France stands a new monument to combat leadership, dedicated June 6, in memory of Maj. Richard Winters, who led paratroopers from the U.S. Army's Company E, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, during the D-Day landings. The heroic story of Major Winters' 'Easy Company' became the popular television mini-series "Band of Brothers" at www.hbo.com/band-of-brothers.
