New Army Vo-Tech Program Opens Doors

The Army announced a new pilot program designed to provide additional ways to expand vocational training opportunities.  The New Soldier Army Vocational Technical (AVOTEC) Program enables all Soldiers serving on active duty -- including National Guard and Reserve Soldiers on extended active duty -- to acquire technical, vocational, or advanced training and re-training. This pilot program is intended to provide training in high-demand career fields to help Soldiers find employment after they transition out of the Army. AVOTEC re-training programs will be offered in high-demand career occupations, such as rehabilitation, nursing, medical technology, computer certification, leisure and hospitality, event planning, food service, construction, transportation, law enforcement, financial and real estate, and mechanics.  Read the full article at Military.com to learn more about AVOTEC and how to apply.
