New Army Nurse Program
Week of September 01, 2008
A new program for Army nurses who are recent college graduates will help bridge the gap between their academic training and the demands of the clinical environment. The one-year Army Nurse Residency Program begins Oct. 6, 2008 with more than 100 new-commissioned second lieutenants performing residency at nine Army medical centers. The program is for new graduates with less than six months of acute care nursing experience and will be similar to nurse residency programs at civilian hospitals. For more information on the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, visit the U.S. Army Nurse Corps website and the Nurse Corps Benefits webpage.
