New Air Force Initiative for Senior Enlisted Officer Development

The Force Management and Development Council has approved an initiative that will evaluate targeted ranks within select Air Force specialty codes and will vector senior NCOs who have the right training, education, and experience to critical positions within their career fields. The Air Force Personnel Center will consider the Airmen's vector when matching for assignments. The new initiative originated with the Enlisted Force Development Panel. Enlisted members can discuss these initiatives in the discussion forums in My Enlisted Development Plan on the Air Force Development Portal, which is under the "Force Development" link on the Air Force Portal.
