Navy's Individual Augmentees Go Online
Week of August 06, 2007
The Navy Knowledge Online's (NKO) Individual Augmentee Community of Practice (IA COP) is a road map of resources and training for any Sailor heading to an individual augmentee (IA) assignment. The website contains 12 pages of deployment, combat training, uniform, cultural awareness, and combat theater information. Each page contains a discussion thread and a feedback mechanism so Sailors can ask questions and share information. The IA COP is the official information hub where IAs share deployment knowledge and complete pre-deployment online courses, and the website's content is updated on a weekly basis.
