The Navy is currently working with the other services and Congress to add new, more life balancing benefits including: (1) extended childcare services; (2) improved educational services for servicemembers, children and spouses; (3) Thrift Savings Plan matching options; (4) rotation and OPTEMPO adjustments; (5) family with fewer demands and restrictions; (6) compressed work schedules; and (7) virtual commands. These studies have motivated senior Navy leadership to develop the Task Force Life/Work initiative whose purpose is to meet the professional and personal development needs of our Sailors, and their families. For more information, visit the Navy Personnel Command's Task Force Life/Work Initiative webpage.
