MRE's and TOTM Rations Recalled
Week of July 20, 2009
The Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia issued a "do not consume" order for certain field rations that contain a dairy shake powder (fortified with calcium and vitamin D), in the following flavors: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and strawberry-banana. As a result the Defense Commissary Agency removed the following recalled items from its store shelves: (1) Meals, Ready-To-Eat (MRE) rations with certain dates of pack and lot numbers and (2) Meal, Tailored, Operational Training (TOTM) rations assembled by the Wornick Company, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45242, with dates of pack and lot numbers of 7138 and 8305. Consumers are advised not to consume the product and to return opened and unopened containers to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. For more information, contact your local commissary.
