Marine Promotion Board Schedules

The Marine Corps announced the schedule for staff noncommissioned officer promotion boards to be held in fiscal year 2009. The board for E-8s and E-9s convenes on Oct. 14 and will conclude on Dec. 12. The gunnery sergeant promotion board begins April 14, 2009, and ends on June 12, 2009. Staff sergeant selections start July 14, 2009, wrapping up 10 weeks later on Sept. 18, 2009. The selection board for all reserve staff NCOs convenes on Jan. 13, 2009, and adjourns on March 13, 2009. Marines are personally responsible for ensuring their Official Military Personnel Files and Master Brief Sheets for fitness reports are accurate and complete.
