North Dakota lawmakers will soon be asked to grant resident tuition rates to any veteran who attends a public college in the state. The University of North Dakota asked for authority to grant resident rates to any veteran who attends the school regardless of where he or she lives. But the North Dakota Board of Higher Education decided the idea should be extended to North Dakota's entire university system. The bill will be introduced in the 2009 Legislature.
