The Knights of Heroes Foundation offers the sons of fallen heroes and their families the opportunity spend a week camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, shooting, rock climbing and much more. The camp has a dramatic impact on all who attend. The boys make new friends who have experienced similar losses. In addition each boy is paired with a mentor who has a vested interest in their future. Donations from across the Nation help cover all expenses for the families. The 2008 camp quickly reached capacity and unfortunately there is no longer room to sign up more campers. The foundation hopes to expand the program to serve more families in the future, but it needs more volunteers and contributors to do so. Those interested in volunteering or contributing can visit www.knightsofheroes.org. Supporting the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our Nation is the duty of every American.
