Friends and family members can now keep in touch with Airmen anywhere in the world through an instant messaging program available through the Air Force Portal. Every Airman is permitted up to five guest users through the Friends and Family Instant Messaging service. To register a guest, follow these steps: (1) log into the Air Force Portal; (2) in the upper right hand corner, click on the My Profile tab; (3) then click on the Manage FFIM tab; (4) click on Add an Account; (5) fill out the required information (name, e-mail address) and read the user policy; and (6) click on Register.
