Here are some tips when looking to buy a house: (1) spend time in the neighborhood, (2) research area schools including checking the school boundaries, (3) check the surrounding resources, (4) talk to the local police about crime rates, (5) do a sex offender search to see if a registered child sex offender is living in the area, (6) ask a friend or family member to sit with your children, or find drop-in care, so you can house hunt child free, (7) but, also keep your children involved when appropriate.
