The organization Honor Flight includes chapters in 31 states, which have flown more than 9,000 veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials. Chapters east of the Mississippi River generally fly veterans to the memorial and return them home the same day. Top priority is given to the senior veterans - WW II survivors along with other veterans that may be terminally ill. The cost is free for the WWII and terminally ill Veterans. For more information, visit the Honor Flight website.
