Get a Carpool Going on New Website
Week of October 06, 2008
A recently launched website offers servicemembers a place to find someone to share a ride with and save a little money. The free website enables servicemembers to connect with other servicemembers who are traveling in the same direction on liberty, leave, and PCS transfers. This rideshare concept has never been targeted specifically to military members before, but since the site's launch on Sept. 13, 2008, the response has been great and many servicemembers posted offers and requests for rides. Servicemembers can start saving money on travel by logging on to MilitaryRideShare.com. E-mail jen@militaryrideshare.com for more information.
