Freedom Walks to be Held Nationwide

Thousands of school children, community leaders, church members and volunteers throughout the nation are again preparing to remember those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, and to honor military veterans past and present by organizing plans and identifying routes for their 2007 America Supports You Freedom Walks. Defense Department organizers said they hope to get more than 300 cities to take part in the national commemoration, and now is the time for organizations to begin choosing locations and walk routes, contacting potential speakers and planning special events.
