Free Respite Care for Some Army Children
Week of July 30, 2007
Army families with a child enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) can now take advantage of up to 40 hours of respite care for each certified EFMP child. EFMP ensures that that the military personnel assignment process takes into consideration the housing, educational and medical needs of a special needs family member. Currently, enrollment in EFMP is limited to active duty Army families. For more information, visit the Exceptional Family Member Program webpage on the MyArmyLifetoo.com website. Family members can also contact their local Army Community Service center for more information.
