Flu Shots Mandatory in Europe

Stars and Stripes reports that flu shots will be mandatory for students and teachers for the first time for Defense Department schools in Europe. The new immunization policy covers both the seasonal and swine flu viruses. Children older than six months who are enrolled in base day care centers and day care center workers throughout Europe must also be immunized under the new policy. Students will have 30 days from the date of enrollment to obtain required immunizations. For more information, contact your local school or base day care center.
