Week of November 02, 2009
The U.S. Department of Defense Military Health System created its Influenza Resources information webpage to help servicemembers and their families find the resources they need to protect themselves and those in their care from influenza during the 2009-2010 flu season. The resources linked to from the webpage page focus on the H1N1 flu virus (also referred to as "swine flu") as well as regular seasonal flu. These are the two types of flu that present the largest threat to humans during this flu season.
