The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) approved overseas Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) bakeries to produce three different breads in support of the Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Overseas Program. Now, AAFES bakeries in Germany, Korea, and Japan produce whole wheat and whole grain breads for military families. The Department of Defense (DoD) offers the WIC Overseas program to eligible ramilies located overseas. Eligibility is possible for pregnant women, mothers with infants six months or younger, breastfeeding mothers with children 12 months or younger, and for children ages 5 and younger. For more information, contact your local WIC Overseas Office.
