Exchanges Expand Shipping Services
Week of August 27, 2007
The Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) has been aggressively extending packaging, shipping and business services to Army and Air Force installations throughout the United States. To date, AAFES operates 29 UPS Stores, Postal Annex + and Parcel Plus facilities throughout CONUS, Hawaii and Alaska. Two additional AAFES-operated postal/business locations are scheduled to open in Colorado, and another agreement is being pursued to offer similar services at Kirtland AFB. AAFES operated postal and business facilities generate revenue for the military community as roughly two-thirds of AAFES earnings are paid to Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs.
